Teacher of Computer Science
Notting Hill & Ealing High School has a great opportunity available for a Teacher of Computer Science to join our leading academic day school and to be part of an exceptionally creative, warm and supportive community. As Teacher of Computer Science, you will share your passion for the subject with our motivated, talented girls throughout the school up to A-level and Oxbridge entrance.
Computer Science is increasingly growing in popularity with our girls. Coding is taught throughout KS3 and a number of girls choose the one-year Year 9 Computing course, preparing for parts of the GCSE, learning Boolean algebra, computer architecture and coding using Python. Since its launch, three cohorts of students have taken the A Level Computer Science, which has resulted in the majority of girls opting to take the subject at university.
Computer Science is equally popular outside the classroom. The IT Rooms are always busy and clubs, which are run by students as well as staff, include Animation, Robotics (in conjunction with the DT Department) and coding clubs.
