Course Leader Certificate in HE: Preparation for Design, Media and Screen
We are looking to recruit a Course Leader for Certificate in Higher Education: Preparation for Design, Media and Screen . You will lead the development of this new course across the programme, school and college at undergraduate level and develop strategies for international recruitment including developing relationships with feeder courses both internally and externally to UAL.
This is a key role in the Design School. We expect you to motivate and excite our students, applying your research-led teaching to the Certificate in Higher Education: Preparation for Design, Media and Screen. This post is seen as a key driver for the development of this level 4 development in the Design School/College.
You will undertake the day to day management of the course, developing and delivering studio practice units for students and specialist digital workshops. You will develop and deliver disciplined, innovative and engaging lectures and seminars, contributing significantly to course development and assessment. Responsible for the learning, teaching and assessment of students, you will provide academic and pastoral support as necessary, monitoring student progress and maintaining appropriate records.

We are looking for a candidate with relevant FE and undergraduate teaching experience, a relevant qualification at undergraduate and postgraduate communication design or a closely related discipline or equivalent experience.
The successful candidate should possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team, be a cross-disciplinary thinker as well as an innovative teacher.
Candidates should demonstrate subject knowledge as well as skills relevant to subject development within an academic, research and professional context.
