This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team and support the implementation of the UAL Awarding Body’s marketing and communications strategy.
The UAL Awarding Body believes in transformative education. We design and award creative qualifications that empower and inspire educators to help students reach their potential. UAL Awarding Body is regulated by Ofqual and CCEA and currently offers accredited qualifications in art and design, fashion, creative media, music and performing and production arts.
As the Communications Officer, you will play a key role in the Awarding Body team, supporting the design and production of high-quality marketing and communications materials, such as web content, print publications, social media and digital marketing, ensuring branding is correct throughout and that specifications are met.
You will need to maintain and build positive working relationships with third party suppliers, including printers, freelance designers, filmmakers, and photographers to help ensure the smooth running of these processes.
When required, you will also assist the Events Assistant and Senior Marketing & Communications Officer with the organisation and delivery of a range of meetings and events and also attend and represent the UAL Awarding Body at events, including meetings, trade fairs and conferences.

You will need to have relevant experience of administrative work (MS Office, Email, Intranet, Web/Internet, Electronic Diary) with the ability to use Adobe Creative Suite, and particularly InDesign and Photoshop, confidently to support the design and maintenance of print and digital materials.
The ability to ensure that accurate information is passed onto the most appropriate people in a timely fashion is key as is the ability to maintain accurate and up to date knowledge of awarding body services and qualifications.
