Support Worker, Driver (West Dunbartonshire)
Can we interest you in a job that will give you lots of personal challenges and many rewards?
We support adults with vision impairment and learning disability, but the range of activities they like to do will ensure no day is the same. Their regular activities include swimming, going to the gym, rebound therapy, going to the cinema, shopping, watching football and going to college to name a few things.
You would work with people from the West Dunbartonshire area, although occasionally you would travel out with the area dependant on the activity.
Your hours would be on a rota basis and would include some weekend, evening and Public Holidays (PH’s are paid at double time).
You would be joining an established, motivated and enthusiastic team who are always ready to welcome new team members, helping them to settle in and get to know our customers.
You will need experience of working with people who have either an LD or VI, but full training will be given, including Visual awareness training. Please note that your experience could have been gained personally or professionally.
Please note that for this opportunity we require applicants to have a full, clean driving licence.
In exchange we offer a competitive salary, a stimulating and supportive working environment and a benefits package including:
- 26 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays), which increase with service
- Excellent pension schemes
