Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse: Head Of Communications
The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) is seeking an experienced Head of Communications to play a crucial role in leading the communications strategy that supports the Inquiry’s strategic objectives.
IICSA is one of the most important and high-profile public inquiries ever established. Our role is to identify, understand and learn from the institutional failings that allowed child sexual abuse to happen in the past, and to make robust recommendations to prevent that abuse from happening in the future. Your contribution will ensure that high quality communications, media relations, public awareness campaigns and internal communications are impactfully delivered.
With responsibility for a 24/7 Media Team, you will work with a broad range of media, setting organisational communication strategies, leading projects and developing both reactive and proactive, integrated media campaigns that build on insight.
You will develop a close and constructive working relationship with the Chair and Panel, legal and executive teams, and be confident in giving strategic advice at a senior level. You will also work effectively with colleagues to ensure that all communications activity is joined up and well-delivered.
Experience of all communications, including internal and social media and digital is vital, as is the ability to establish and develop strong professional relationships with key home affairs and political journalists, influential stakeholders and others to build confidence in the Inquiry and respond effectively and efficiently to all communication issues.
Closing Date: 4 February, 2018
