Capital Programme Advisors
Location: Home-based (Two posts - one covering the Midlands and one for Yorkshire & Humberside and the North East)
Salary: c.£49,500 plus final salary pension and 31.5 days holiday
Ref: FERD45 (Midlands) and FERD47 (Yorkshire & Humberside and North East)
Becta is the government agency leading the national drive to ensure the effective and innovative use of technology throughout learning. It leads on a number of high-profile national programmes, such as Home Access, to deliver systemic improvement in aiding learning through the use of technology.
We are interested in hearing from individuals who have been involved in any of the major capital build programmes within the education sector (ie Building Schools for the Future, Academies, Primary Capital Programme or FE Capital Programme) with an ICT remit. This experience may have been gained from working within an educational or governmental organisation, local authority, or as a supplier to a capital build programme.In these high-profile regional roles, you will have a broad remit providing strategic and operational support to ensure the successful delivery of the technology aspects of capital programmes, including BSF, academies and the primary capital programme. Specifically, you will provide technical, curriculum and procurement advice and guidance during the planning, development, implementation and early operational phases of capital projects within your region, drawing on the wealth of expertise available across Becta.
