Based at the University of Warwick Science Park on the outskirts of Coventry, Becta employs over 150 people with educational, technical, and communication backgrounds. See attached map.
The Science Park offers excellent road links and is easily accessible from a number of major motorways. Our offices are 10 minutes drive from Coventry train station, which is an hour by train from Euston. Shops, theatre and cafes are within walking distance, and Becta employees are eligible to use the University's library.
Remuneration Package
Full details of the terms and conditionals of employment will be given in a written 'statement of particulars' at the time the contract is offered.
Salary
Salary is negotiable within the advertised pay scale, depending upon experience.
Annual leave
Entitlement will be or 31.5 days per year. The leave year is 1 April to 31 March. In addition, there are eight statutory holidays and one discretionary day at Christmas.
Pensions / Contributions
Staff are eligible to join the superannuation scheme of the London Pension Fund Authority or the Teachers' Superannuation Scheme. Members pay 6% of their salary towards a package of benefits, in addition there is an employer's contribution.
Terms of employment
A statement of the terms of employment, as required under section 4 of the Employment Rights Act 1996, will be issued on appointment.
Relocation
Appointees may be eligible for support under Becta's relocation allowances scheme. Application of the scheme will depend upon the particular circumstances of the candidate.
